Gift Registry Frequently Asked Questions
The China Etc Gift Registry has been set up to enable you to create a list of desired products from our extensive line of fine china, cutlery, crystal and giftware. Whether you are going to celebrate your birthday, your wedding or any other special occasion, your friends and family can visit the registry, view your list and place orders directly online.
To register your gift list is simple. On the top of each page there is a link labeled "Gift Registry". Clicking this link will take you to the Gift Registry Menu. Select the Create a New Gift List link and start completing the information requested. Please make a note of the Gift Registry number so you can check it's status as you get closer to your significant date. (Wedding, birthday etc.) You will then be "taken" into the shop to add your items to the shopping basket. If you wish, you can email us with a list of all your friends and family who have email and we will then send them a notification of how and where to find and use the Gift Registry. How do my guests access the register?
When you register, you will be given a Gift Registry number. This number will be used by you guests to access your personal Gift Registry list. They will start by clicking the Gift Registry link at the top of each page. This will take them to the Gift Registry menu. If they click the "Order from Gift List" link, they will be presented with the remaining items that have not been ordered from your list. They can then enter the quantity of items they wish to purchase and they will be "taken" into the shop to complete their order.
When will the orders be shipped?
All of your gift registry items purchased will be shipped together, in one shipment as soon as we have the order complete (i.e. if we have ordered goods in especially for you when the items are received from the factory), and once you have advised that you wish the registry to be closed.
Who pays for shipping?
Shipping is free world-wide as long as the total shipped order value is over £300 UK Pounds. Shipping costs will be calculated as though all the orders were one. Should the total of goods ordered be less than £300 UK Pounds, we will charge the recipient, not the guests. However, if guests choose to have the gift sent to an address other than the gift registry address then shipping charges will apply.
How do I know who bought my gifts?
We keep record of all purchases made, and will from time to time email you to keep you informed. However, you may of course email us for this information as often as you like.
